"Born in Washington D.C. in 1938. Studied political science and law. Began experimenting with light sculptor in 1968 in Paris, France. Continued doing light sculpture in Boston, Massachusetts until 1977, when the focus of the art turned to doing portraits and other large drawings and the beginning of painting. In 1984 the family moved to London, England where the concentration was on painting landscapes and portraits. In 1993 moved to Portland, Oregon and set up studio in the industrial port area on the Willamette."
