Final Seminar and Thesis Defense

Prepare and give a final seminar on the research project by Friday before dead week. You will receive help and guidance with the presentation in the BRR407 class; you should also ask your mentor and labmates for help.  The seminar will be about 35 to 45 minutes long and open to the public; you can invite your friends and family to attend.

After your seminar and some public questions, you will have a closed discussion with your faculty mentor, secondary mentor, and BRR director. You should be prepared to answer questions about your research and related topics, which could include such areas as theoretical background, rationale, how methods work, possible explanations for anomalous results, how you would design experiments to test your results, and overall significance.
