Vananh Nguyen wins Francis Dancy Hooks Award!

BRR student Vananh Nguyen was awarded the Francis Dancy Hooks Award at the Martin Luther King Peace Breakfast on January 19, 2009. This award is for students, staff or faculty who exemplify Frances Dancy Hooks’ work: building bridges across cultures, showing courage in promoting diversity, and proudly “Walks the Talk.” The award recognizes Vananh's leadership abilities related to diversity and demonstrated ability to build cross-cultural bridges. Vananh was not able to receive the award plaque in person, as she was attending the inauguration of President Barrack Obama in Washington, D.C.!  Vananh, we are proud of you!
