Every year, representatives from universities throughout the Pacific Northwest come together to share knowledge, experiences, and delicious local food at a conference for the advancement of sustainability in higher education.  The conference location switches back and forth between Oregon and Washington, and last year it took place in Portland, so the host for 2017's conference was Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.  Unshaken by the distance, a team of ten OSU sustainability stakeholders including staff and students, carpooled up to the conference.  OSU's sustainability coordinator Brandon Trelstad gave a presentation sharing Beaver Nation's success with respect to sustainability, and a team of nine students and staff joined him to network and dive deeper into the world of sustainability.  More information about the conference can be found at WAHESC's website.  Each year, a Higher Education Sustainability conference takes place in the Pacific Northwest, so the Sustainability Double Degree encourages students to be on the lookout for information about attending the 2018 conference!
