CAS Proposal Procedures

All grant proposals submitted by faculty in the College of Agricultural Sciences need to be routed through the Dean's office for signature.

On Campus Faculty: Please bring your proposal to 138 Strand Agriculture Hall. 

Off Campus Faculty: Please electronically submit your proposal to AESResearch@oregonstate.edu

Before you submit your proposal,  please consider the following:

1. Provide sufficient time for your proposal to be reviewed:

We do our best to process your proposals in a timely manner; however, there are times when your proposal cannot be signed and processed immediately.  Please be patient and provide sufficent time for your proposal to be reviewed by the CAS Deans.

Once your proposal is signed we will walk it down to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).  We make two trips per day at 10:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Any proposals that arrive in our office after 3:00 pm will be signed and delivered to OSP the following business day.

2. Submit the original proposal:

The Office of Sponsored Programs requires the original proposal.

The College of Agricultural Sciences will make an electronic copy for its files.

3. Make sure to have a Transmittal Form attached to the front of your proposal:

All proposals must have a Transmittal Form.

Please make sure to mark all the appropriate fields for your proposal. All the information on the Transmittal Form is recorded for monthly and annual reports.

Make sure to have all your Regulatory Compliance clearance beforehand.
