Types of Scholarships
By submitting this scholarships application, you are placed in a pool to be considered for more than 100 scholarship awards available through two CAS scholarships programs:
Agricultural Honors Scholarships
The Agricultural Honors Scholarships Program, which is fostered by the E. R. Jackman Board and Savery Fund of the Agricultural Research Foundation, is designed to attract talented students to the CAS. Awards vary between $1,000 and $2,000.
College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Awards
College of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship Awards primarily support students continuing their studies with the CAS. Awards vary from $500 to full in-state tuition.
Qualifications and Selection
We urge all students to apply. Often, many criteria other than academic record and financial need are used to select scholarship recipients.
Students eligible to apply for scholarships are those enrolling or enrolled in the CAS through OSU’s Corvallis campus, the college’s location on the Eastern Oregon University campus in La Grande, OSU’s distance-education program, or OSU’s degree partnership program with select Oregon community colleges. Students with an agricultural science–related interest enrolling or enrolled in the general agriculture or environmental science program at OSU’s Cascades campus also are considered.
The CAS determines eligibility for scholarships and makes final selection of award recipients.
Selected students must maintain continuous fulltime undergraduate enrollment by registering for a minimum of 12 credit hours each term of the academic year at OSU's Corvallis campus or the college's La Grande location, or a minimum of 6 OSU credit hours, having 12 credit hours overall, each term at the OSU Cascades campus or an OSU-affiliated Degree Partnership Program (dual admission and enrollment with a community college) or an Ecampus (distance-education) program.
Application Process
To apply for College of Agricultural Sciences scholarships, complete the Application Form (link at the bottom of this page). Completed applications must be submitted by February 1.
First-year students must complete the application for admission to OSU before February 1 and have an OSU-issued student ID number and GAP in order to log in to the application.
