Integrated pest management (IPM) on tree fruits; IPM programs as components of integrated fruit production (IFP) systems.

Research activities involve studies on the biology, ecology and management of insect and mite pests and their natural enemies on deciduous tree fruits. Main research themes have been: selective control tactics for major and minor fruit pests; pesticide effects on natural enemies; monitoring and management of insecticide and acaricide resistance in tree fruit pests; prediction of pest phenology; cultivar susceptibility to pest attack; and pest management under conventional, organic and integrated fruit production (IFP) systems.
