The community and region have a variety of activities and events including the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show, community rodeos, close access to fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, biking, wildlife watching, and nature trails.  Students also have access to movie theaters, shopping, restaurants, and many other amenities in La Grande and surrounding communities.

Current students have access to a number of services and resources through Eastern Oregon University.

Eastern Oregon University Agriculture Club provides students the opportunity to become more involved in agriculture.

Ag Club facilitates the development of relationships between students, faculty and members of the agriculture community.

The Rangeland and Natural Resources club is a student run-organization dedicated to fostering a space for education, networking, and community involvement.

The club will focus on the study of management, sustainable use of rangelands and related ecosystems and it will prepare members for the post education job market by participating in experiential learning, networking opportunities and volunteer services with professionals both locally and nationally.
