My kitchen is full of well-worn things, many of them in daily use. From this rag-tag collection I gathered the items for my still life, hoping to evoke the warm feeling of Grandma's kitchen with its permeating scent of vanilla and sugar. Antique spice cans, a pint of cream bottle and brown eggs from my own Buff Orpingtons recall for me a time when all things were not disposable, and when women had time to cook for their families.
