I paint and draw to put down what and how I see, it changes constantly, can't be managed or conjured on a whim. The older I get the better I see, the less things get in the way. I like it simple- no clutter, painting and drawing do that. It's hard- exhausting, demanding, obsessing, it brings me great joy. I could abandon a great deal to do my art.
