Karen Hendricks has been a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon since 1996 and has received various awards. She works in watercolor, colored pencil, and pen and ink. She began to seriously explore drawing and painting when she realized that art, by its nature, asks one to "really see" a subject: to appreciate beauty and harmony, to balance contrasting elements, to examine different relationships, to take another point of view. Her work now, as an artist, is to capture that vision and share it with others.
