CORVALLIS, Ore. - Beaver fans will celebrate Oregon agriculture at Reser Stadium on Saturday, September 19. While the Oregon State University football team faces off against San Jose State, fans will celebrate the bounty of Oregon’s agricultural industry and the innovative work of OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences.
Among the features will be pre-game radio interviews with Katie Fast, the Executive Director for the Oregonians for Food and Shelter, and Alex Powell, a senior in Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State with a minor in Public Health.
Fast and her husband are proud Beaver alums whose personal and professional lives are tied tightly to Oregon agriculture. Powell has served as an Ambassador for the College of Agricultural Sciences among other student leadership positions at OSU.
The interview will air at 2:15 pm, during Saturday’s pre-game show on 1190 KEX radio.
As one of the hosts of the Celebrate Oregon Agriculture event, OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences will also sponsor the instant replays during the game and 30-second messages about the college’s innovative research and teaching.
Fans in the stadium and those tuning in from afar can celebrate Oregon’s agriculture, beginning at 2:00 pm on 1190 KEX radio.
