October 2011
On August 31st, the OSU Foundation successfully completed the Provost’s Faculty Match initiative, exceeding our original goal of raising $20 million in endowed faculty position funds.
Within the Provost’s Faculty Match program:
- We added $21,310,000 in endowed faculty position funds
- We leveraged $4,875,000 in matching funds
- These gifts established or expanded 22 endowed faculty position funds:
- 6 – College of Engineering
- 4 – College of Agricultural Sciences
- 3 – College of Public Health & Human Sciences
- 2 – College of Forestry
- 2 – College of Science
- 2 – Linus Pauling Institute
- 1 – College of Business
- 1 – College of Veterinary Medicine
- 1 – OSU-Cascades
In the Campaign to date, donors have created a total of 49 endowed faculty positions, which brings the total number at OSU to 96. The strategic use of these endowed faculty position funds helps the university recruit and retain world-class faculty — those who will train the next generation of leaders to carry forth the work of making our state and our world a better place.
