| Master's Degree in Agricultural Education |
Agricultural education combines leadership development, experiential learning, and classroom instruction to teach others the importance of agriculture, food, and natural resources. Agricultural educators teach (both formally and informally) these subjects using a variety of content areas such as science, communication, leadership, math, and technology. A person who receives a degree in Agricultural Education is not solely locked into teaching. Potential occupations also include lobbyist, professional facilitator, industry communication director, and Extension work. |

| Animal Sciences MS and PhD |
Graduate students may pursue research projects through the Agricultural Experiment Station as part of their MS and PhD programs. Graduate areas of concentration are offered in animal nutrition, animal behavior, dairy production, embryo physiology, endocrinology, ethology, growth and development, livestock management, muscle biology and meat science, nutritional biochemistry, reproductive physiology, and systems biology. |

| Entomology Graduate Degree |
The Entomology Graduate Program offers qualified candidates opportunities for graduate study and research leading to the Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. In keeping with traditional areas of strength at the university, a number of major research programs in entomology deal with problems in agriculture, forestry, and environmental quality. Integrated pest management techniques are emphasized in the solution of many of these problems. There are no specific course requirements for entomology graduate degrees. Each student will work with their major professor and/or graduate committee to establish a program of study. Our research covers a broad range of subjects involving viruses, bacteria and parasites, and their roles in the health of the environment and humans, animals and plants. Microbiology faculty are strongly multidisciplinary and also train graduate students enrolled in related programs such as Molecular & Cellular Biology, Soil Science, Fisheries & Wildlife, and Oceanography. Graduate students are major contributors to the research output of the department. This program is a shared program between College of Science and College of Agricultural Sciences. |

Graduate work leading to MS or PhD degrees may involve research on domestic or wild animals, rangeland nutrition, community ecology, physiology of rangeland plants, rangeland improvement, rangeland watershed and riparian zone management, rangeland restoration, utilization and management, agroforestry, and landscape ecology. |

The Wildlife Science graduate program provides students with the opportunity to study with faculty that have diverse taxonomic and disciplinary expertise including but limited to the ecology and conservation of birds, mammals (including marine mammals) and amphibians, behavioral ecology, interaction of wildlife with land uses, population ecology, ecosystem ecology, endangered species, conservation psychology, habitat restoration, conservation biology, and conservation genetics. |
