Influence of Increasing Amounts of Fermentable Fiber on Ruminant Performance and Nutrient Utilization

Sandhill Cranes on Flood Meadows The objective of this research is to determine if a source of fermentable fiber (beet pulp) can increase the performance of steers and heifers grazing native flood meadows. In addition, if beet supplementation positively effects animal performance, this study will determine what level of beet pulp supplementation is used most efficiently.
