Sustainable Food and Agricultural Systems
Global population growth and economic develop- ment increase the urgency for sustainable approaches to grow food. While Oregon is a global leader in food production, the college leads research and education in sustainable, profitable agricultural systems. This work is helping to increase a safe and reliable food supply in developing countries and to add value to Oregon’s agricultural and seafood products to keep Oregon industries competitive.
Botany and Plant Pathology Masters
Students with majors in any one area can incorporate into their programs minors in other areas within the department or in other departments in the Colleges of Science, Agricultural Sciences, and Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences

Plant Breeding and Genetics
The Faculty Senate has approved the graduate option in Plant Breeding and Genetics. Currently, students must be admitted in either the graduate program in Crop Science or the graduate program in Horticulture, then elect the Plant Breeding and Genetics option.
