Kirby Schmidt attended the National Cultivating Change Summit this fall in Washington D.C., on behalf of the Department of Agricultural Education and Agricultural Sciences.
The summit is for queer & allied people, and focuses on valuing and elevating LGBTQ+ agriculturists through advocacy, education, and community. The poster he presented was recognized as the top innovative research poster.
Some OSU, Agricultural Education Ph.D. Alumni from the College of Agricultural Sciences were not simply present, but largely facilitating and organizing the event for the 100+ attendees.
