Following an extensive search, the College of Agricultural Sciences has named Paul Broccolo as its new Director of Advising.
Broccolo brings over 13 years of advising experience to this crucial role, as well as a diverse skillset in counseling and teaching. Over his career, Broccolo has proven to be an effective mentor to diverse student populations across several institutions. In his most recent role as an academic advisor in the College of Science at OSU, he has provided academic support, proactive communication, and guidance for undergraduate students in the BioHealth and Microbiology programs.
Prior to joining OSU, Broccolo served as an Academic Advisor at Arizona State University (his alma mater) where he supported undergraduate students for the College of Health Solutions, and the School of Politics and Global Studies within the College of Liberal Arts. He also served as Senior Academic Counselor at the University of Phoenix, where his dedication to student success was recognized with the President’s Award for Individual Excellence in 2018.
“I love working with students, faculty, and staff. When we all work together for a common goal, we can achieve anything,” Broccolo said. “I’m excited to see what I can bring to CAS and to get to know all of you!”
In addition to his professional achievements, Broccolo has volunteered as an instructor and performer at the National Comedy Theater, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement.
