OSU faculty mentors are an integral part of the Leadership Academy experience. As a mentor, you are making an invaluable contribution to the development of the mentee for the academic year. Your insight, guidance and encouragement play a critical role in shaping your mentee's understanding and pursuit of skills that contribute to effective leadership.
Faculty/mentee pairs are assigned in the Fall by our Leadership Academy Coordinator. Students are matched with faculty whose skill set and expertise match the specific leadership skill the student wants to develop. Mentors may help their mentee develop goals via their personal development plan, meet regularly with them, facilitate discussion and introspection on in-class assignments, and attend the Academy's signature events.
If you are interested in becoming a faculty mentor, please contact the Leadership Academy Coordinator, Faith Vawter.
