Meet Wanda: Wanda is our fearless advisor. She serves as an amazing mentor to both the MANRRS and SACNAS chapters, in addition to her job as an academic advisor for the BioResource Research major within the College of Agricultural Sciences. Wanda is always willing to answer questions the team has about the organization and how we should plan events. Her wealth of knowledge is incredibly valuable to our success as a chapter!
MANRRS Chapter Graduate Teaching Assistant: Smit Vasquez-Caballero
Smit is a Ph.D. Candidate in Applied Economics. He serves as an OSU-MANRRS Co-Advisor for the 2016-2017 AY. During his graduate education, Smit has been involved in minority serving programs at OSU, including MANRRS, SACNAS and LSAMP. Smit’s academic interest intersects the areas of natural resources management and economic development. Apart from his academic life Smit enjoys reading books to his three kids as well as playing soccer with them.
MANRRS Chapter Graduate Teaching Assistant: Johannah Hamilton
Johannah Hamilton is a 1st year PhD student in Public Policy here at OSU. She’s also our chapter’s new GTA and co-advisor. She’s been a member of MANRRS since 2013. What she loves most about MANRRS is the networking aspect and how the people you meet become family over time. Johannah also loves how MANRRS really gives you the opportunity to professionally develop yourself and your brand. When she’s not studying or reading, Jo likes to go up in the mountains with her dog, play basketball, go to NBA games, and travel. She received her B.S. in Agricultural Economics with a minor in Spanish at the University of Kentucky and her masters in Agricultural Economics at Auburn Universit
MANRRS Chapter President: Angel Torres
Meet Angel: Meet Angel: Angel is the current OSU-MANRRS President. He is studying Crop and Soil Science with an option in Agronomy and completing a Bioenergy minor. What Angel enjoys best about MANNRSS are the people he has met and have become really good friends and peers that he values a lot, but also the opportunities the club provides and the resources. He enjoys playing any sports, but mostly soccer. He thoroughly enjoys gardening and farming. He likes to target shoot and enjoys spending time in the outdoors like hiking. He loves to mentor students to reach their fullest potential. He is currently a CAS Ambassador, CAMP Scholar, Past CAMP Mentor, and has gone abroad on to Puerto Rico on a Faculty-Led service learning opportunity, he has done research at MSU with the USDA ARS working on Dry Beans, and research with the Dept. of Animal Rangeland Sciences with Dr. Massimo Bionaz.

Meet Trisha: Trisha Chau, studies biochemistry and molecular biology. she was elected to be treasurer for 2017-2018. She really enjoy how involved MANRRS is one of the few organizations on campus that is very involved with its community. During her free time, She enjoys painting, martial arts, piano, photography, reading, learning, and travelling.
MANRRS Chapter Publicity Officer: MANRRS Community Representative: Adan Avila
Meet Adan: Currently serving as a Community Representative for the second year within MANRRS. Aside from this he is a Peer Mentor with TRiO SSS and also the Treasurer for the OSU Academic Quiz Bowl team, which competes at a national level at the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association conference against other top Applied Economics (Ag Business) programs. Outside of school Adan likes going back to his hometown and spending time with his family in the outdoors.
