Oregon State University Hosts Oregon FFA State Convention

ffaMore than 2500 FFA members, advisors, parents, and guests representing 105 high school agricultural education programs are expected to celebrate the 88th Oregon FFA State Convention, March 18-21, at Oregon State University.   FFA is a national youth organization comprised of students enrolled in high school agricultural education programs.  The FFA’s mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

The convention is an opportunity for members to compete in career development events, leadership events, earn individual awards and recognition, conduct business and take part in officer elections.  Individuals and chapters will be recognized for outstanding proficiency in agricultural job placement, entrepreneurship, and service to agricultural education.  The highest degree of membership (State FFA Degree) in the Oregon FFA will be conferred upon over 300 members.

OSU Collegiate FFA members have been busy planning and coordinating activities, events, and opportunities for students to make the OSU convention learning and memorable experience for FFA members across the state.
