Dr. Brian Pearson Named New Director of Mid-Columbia Agricultural Research and Extension Center

Dr. Brian Pearson brings nearly 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and extension with strong roots in the land-grant system. An award-winning researcher, Pearson’s investigative focus considers all aspects of diverse specialty crop production to include selection, cultivation, and management for aesthetic, edible, beverage, and medicinal application and use with a specific focus on developing a thorough understanding of how each agricultural production factor, separately and in combination, influence plant growth and development.

Ben Davis

Ben Davis named Interim Director of Marketing and Communications for the College of Agricultural Sciences

Davis holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from OSU and brings 10 years of experience in professional writing and science communications, along with advanced skills in videography, photography, digital marketing, and front-end UX web design. Davis first joined the College of Agricultural Sciences as a writer in 2015, and recently served as Assistant Director of Communications.

2022 marked a number of significant milestones, including a new dean, Dr. Staci Simonich. It also marked our highest-ever year of research expenditures and marked the public launch of Oregon State University’s capital campaign.
