Liming of Vegetable Crops (1970)

This document was a handout for a presentation at the 1970 meeting of the Oregon Horticultural Society

Although this this document was written in 1970, it contains useful information on the effects of low soil pH on the macro and micro nutrient content in peas, carrots, onions, cauliflower, and celery, and may be useful in diagnosing soil and plant problems based on plant tissue analysis. Also, this document is useful for predicting deficiencies or toxicities when a soil is limed to high levels, such as in the case of clubroot control where a target pH >7.0 is desirable.
