The Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) is a component of the Farmers Market and Local Food PromotionProgram (FMLFPP), which is authorized by the 2018 Farm Bill under the LocalAgriculture Marketing Program (LAMP). The goal of LFPP grants are to develop, coordinateand expand local and regional food business enterprises that engage asintermediaries in indirect producer to consumer marketing to help increaseaccess to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products.LFPP offers both Planning and Implementation projects. For LFPP Planning, theminimum award is 25,000 and a maximum of $100,000for up to 18 months (1.5 years).  Applicantsare expected to begin on September 30, 2019 and be completed by March 31, 2021.For LFPP Implementation projects, the minimum award is $100,000 and a maximumof $500,500 for a period of 36 months (3 years). Applicants are expected tobegin September 30, 2019 and be completed by September 29, 2022. Matching funds of 25% of the Total Federalportion of the grant is required.
