Interdisciplinary. Highly Interactive. Transformative. The SACNAS National Conference motivates, inspires and engages participants to achieve their highest goals in pursuing education and careers in STEM fields. Conference programming is specifically tailored to support undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and career professionals at each transition stage of their career as they move towards positions of science leadership. (SACNAS Organization)
The Annual SACNAS National Conference is one of our largest and most anticipated events. Members must fill out and submit an application to attend the Annual SACNAS National Conference. We begin distributing applications during the spring term prior to the National Conference. Our selection criteria is based on the participation exhibited by the applicant in the year’s club activities as well as their commitment to assist the officer team in their efforts to secure funding for our trip to the National Conference. Members who are selected to attend the conference sign a contract which states that they will continue to participate and volunteer their time at events and other activities we have planned for the coming school year. This process ensures that we take students who have a commitment to not only their own success, but also the success of our chapter. Furthermore, it prepares students for the conference and trains students in the kind of professionalism and dedication we want to foster within our chapter.
Applicants from the College of Public Health and Human Sciences must apply to the conference scholarship through their college or will not be eligible to attend the Nation Conference.
