Postdoctoral Fellow

I’m from Iran. I obtained my Master degree in 2007 in Fisheries and Aquaculture Sciences with the emphasis on seafood processing. My thesis entitled “Effect of Gamma Radiation on the Quality and Shelf-Life of Refrigerated Rainbow Trout”. I started my doctoral studies in 2009 at West Virginia University under the guidance of Dr. Jacek Jaczynski. I earned my PhD degree in 2012 and my dissertation entitled “Development of Value-Added Food Products from Isoelectrically Recovered Proteins”. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher under the direction of Dr. Christina A. Mireles DeWitt at the Seafood Research and Education Center, Oregon State University. At this point, I am developing analytical techniques for HPLC evaluation of biogenic amines.

من اهل ایران هستم. پس از اتمام دوران لیسانس و فوق لیسانس در رشته شیلات در سال ۲۰۰۹ به امریکا آمدم و در دانشگاه ویرجینیای باختری در رشته صنایع غذائی تحصیلات دکترای خود را آغاز کردم. در سال ۲۰۱۲ پایان نامه ام را با عنوان تولید محصولات با ارزش افزوده از پروتئین استخراج شده به طریق ایزولکتریک به پایان رساندم. در حال حاضر به عنوان فوق دکترا در دانشگاه ایالتی ارگون مشغول به کار هستم. و زمینه تحقیقاتی اینجانب بررسی امین های بیوژنیک در ماهیان است .

Reza completed his post-doc with OSU and is in a second post-doc with Purdue University.
