James Cassidy

James Cassidy has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the Western Academic Programs Section (W-APS- APLU) Teaching and Student Engagement Award of Excellence.

NASA Selects 11 Space Biology Research Projects to Inform Biological Research During Future Lunar Exploration Missions.  Aymeric Goyer, was awarded a grant for his studies in Growth, physiology and nutrition dynamics of potato plants grown on lunar regolithsimulant medium

CAS’s Goldwater Scholars for 2024 are: Jose Naranjo Mendez and Roberto Ponce Velez.

Two College of Agricultural Sciences undergraduate students (Jose Naranjo Mendez and Roberto Ponce Velez) have been named 2024 Goldwater Scholars by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation.

Roberto Ponce Velez, an OSU junior in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences has been named a 2024 Udall Scholar in the Environment category.

CAS alum Camden Schmidt (’23), Environmental Economics and Policy, has been selected for the US Student Fulbright to Poland

Adeline Rang

Adeline Rang, a student in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Sciences, is one of just 2 selected from OSU for a competitive full study abroad scholarship—the Consular Corps Scholarship.

The College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University is Oregon's principal source of knowledge relating to agricultural and food systems, and a major source of knowledge regarding environmental quality, natural resources, life sciences, and rural economies and communities worldwide. The College provides undergraduate and graduate education leading to baccalaureate and graduate degrees, and extended education programs throughout Oregon and beyond. Its research programs create knowledge to solve problems and to build a knowledge base for the future. It is a source of information and expertise in integrating and applying knowledge with benefits that are felt in domestic and international settings.
