Dr. Nason's research interests focus on physical/chemical processes for the removal of particles from water and wastewater. Recent investigations have focused on the experimental measurement and mathematical modeling of how particle size distributions change due to simultaneous precipitation and flocculation during lime softening. Future research will continue to focus on the fate, transport, and transformation of particles and particle-associated chemicals in natural and engineered systems.
