I am originally from Boise, Idaho where I gained a deep fascination for how forest fungi and other natural diversity evolve. I came to OSU in 2020, where I run my research lab, curate the fungal herbarium collection, teach, serve as a governmental policy advisor, and provide outreach and education to the community. I am passionate about fungal diversity, education, mental health. In my free time I love to hike, surf, and forage for edible mushrooms.
