Prior to moving to Oregon in August of 2014, I was blessed to serve as the agriculture teacher and FFA advisor for 13 years in Ralls, Texas. I received a B.S. (1999) and M.S. (2014) in Agricultural Education from Texas Tech University. After earning my PhD right here at Oregon State University in 2017 I was an Instructor in Agricultural Education for the 2017-2018 academic year, and the Director of the Agriculture Teacher Education program, a program I still proudly oversee as Assistant Professor in Agricultural Education. My wife Amanda was the high school art teacher and cheerleading coach for 11 years at the high school where we both taught, and we have two wonderful daughters, Baylee and Adilee. We have truly enjoyed our time in Oregon, and feel very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Oregon State University and proud members of the Oregon agricultural education family. My favorite thing about teaching agriculture is the opportunity to develop lifelong relationships and make a lasting impact on others through agricultural education. As a lifelong learner, I truly believe I learn more from my students than they could ever learn from me, but really appreciate that we can enjoy the journey together.
