Kathy DeBellis is the Center Administrator/Assistant Director at the Integrated Plant Protection Center. She serves as the liaison between the Director, faculty, OSU community, local, state, federal, and international arenas. She is responsible for administration and coordination of business operations, personnel, and development of policies and management practices. Kathy has an extensive background in administration starting with Peace Corps and then obtaining a master's degree in social work administration with emphasis in organizational and program development.
Kathy spent almost three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia teaching, teaching teachers, and advising community leaders. While in Micronesia she assisted the village leaders in program and community develpment which included clean water, sanitation, and health projects. She also helped several villages establish a seaweed farm and created an aquacutlure program in the Western Pacific Basin which provided needed revenue for Micronesia.
