Academic Interests: 

Keaton has been working with the Bioenergy Education Initiative since 2015. As a doctoral student in the Biological and Engineering Department, he has focused his research on varying aspects of bioelectrochemical systems including microbial fuel cell, microbial electrolysis and microbial electrosynthesis technologies. As part of the Bioenergy Education Initiative Keaton has been responsible for mentoring undergraduate student researchers, developing student lessons and camps, as well as being involved in extension activities providing information about bioenergy to the greater community.
