KJ hails from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where she grew up on her family’s sheep farm and was involved with 4-H. KJ got her B.S. in Community and Leadership Development at the University of Kentucky (UK). After graduating from UK, she worked as an AgriCorps Fellow in Ghana in 2015-16 where she taught middle school agricultural education and advised the 4-H Club. KJ continue working for AgriCorps as the Director of Recruitment from 2016-2018. In 2020, KJ graduated with her Master’s in Agricultural Education, with an emphasis in Extension, from Oregon State University. KJ is passionate about community-based education, agricultural leadership, and preparing students to be professionals in the field of agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences.
For fun, KJ enjoys playing music, cooking and baking new recipes, needlework and crocheting, and crafty home projects.
