Erica is the Academic Advisor for the Sustainability Double Degree Program. Erica came to OSU from the University of Oregon (UO), where she taught for over a decade.
After earning a B.A. in English and Biology from Kenyon College in Ohio, Erica moved to Oregon and completed an M.A. in English and a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences, Studies, and Policy at UO. Her doctoral research and teaching focused on the Hanford Site, a decommissioned nuclear production complex located on the Columbia River that is now one of the largest environmental remediation projects in the world. Erica currently serves on the Oregon Hanford Cleanup Board, which advises the state of Oregon on policy related to Hanford cleanup. When she’s not thinking about how to build a more just and sustainable world, Erica loves to garden, cook, bake, hike, bike, and throw frisbees for her dog.
