The MANRRS and SACNAS Annual Etiquette Dinner, held on February 20, 2025, was a success, thanks to the efforts of many dedicated individuals. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Marcia Torres, an OSU CAS & MANRRS alumni, for delivering an insightful and engaging presentation on "Surviving Business Meals & Cocktail Hours." In addition to her presentation, Marcia also organized and led a fun, interactive quiz game using AhaSlides, which kept everyone engaged and added a lively element to the evening. Her expertise in these professional settings provided valuable guidance to students, helping them navigate such occasions with poise and confidence. This event continues to be a yearly highlight for the students, and it’s clear that her contributions play a significant role in its ongoing success.
We also want to extend special thanks to the College of Agricultural Sciences Dean Staci Simonich and Associate Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Faculty Affairs Nadia Singh for joining the evening’s festivities and contributing to the event’s success. Their presence and support further enriched the experience for all attendees, making the evening even more memorable. The event’s success was also made possible by the exceptional leadership and dedication of the SACNAS and MANRRS officers. Their hard work not only ensured a seamless event but also secured enough funding to offer the evening at no cost to 64 participants. This allowed students to not only learn essential dining etiquette, but also engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and practice their newfound knowledge in a fun and interactive setting.

Events like these are not possible without support. MANRRS and SACNAS will be participating in Dam Proud Day on April 30thth. The CAS Climate, Diversity & Inclusion Fund will help support events like these, which directly benefit our students' professional growth and development. This fund also plays a key role in supporting initiatives such as students’ attendance at the 39th Annual Training Conference & Career Expo in Memphis, TN, from April 2-6, 2025. By donating, you can help ensure that students have access to future opportunities, workshops, and career-building experiences, without the barrier of cost.

Congratulations to our winners, Cristian Burke and Magali Lima! A special shout-out to our runner-up, Felice Yarbough, for giving them a tough competition.
