Waiting

A triad of determined animals approaches an awaiting and expectant fourth. A confrontation? A sexual challenge? A call to the herd? And yet there is a feeling of suspended animation of whatever it is. By logical reasoning there should be indications of a massive thrust in motion and yet they seem to float soundlessly through an indistinct background.

My interest here was in portraying a sense of opposites: power versus restrain, aggressiveness and passivity, mass and weightlessness, dark and light, group and isolation. All these elements are interacting and trying to find an agreeable balance within the composition.
