This program provides funding for undergraduates doing formal research for the first time—especially freshmen, sophomores, and new transfer students. Work alongside faculty mentors, explore your interests, and gain hands-on experience that builds your future.

Ready to take your research to the next level?
This program provides funding for students with prior research experience to lead a semi-independent project in collaboration with a faculty mentor. You’ll develop a proposal, deepen your skills, and contribute to ongoing research that matters. Faculty cost-share is required.

Branch Experiment Station Research Internship Program

Take your learning beyond campus!
Spend 10–13 weeks at one of Oregon’s Branch Experiment Stations, where real-world research meets local impact. Work with faculty on projects that help farmers, ranchers, and food innovators solve critical challenges.
