Snake River Weed Control Research Field Day

We are pleased to invite you to the 2022 Snake River Weed Control Research Field Day at the Malheur Experiment Station.

Date: June 15, 2022

Event: Field tour

Venue: Malheur Experiment Station, 595 Onion Ave, Ontario, OR 97914

Registration: 8:00 to 8:30AM

Tour: 8:30 to 12:15PM MST

A complimentary lunch will follow as soon as tour is completed.

Pesticide Recertification Credits (applications have been submitted and approved):

Oregon 4 hours (2 core and 2 other)

Idaho 3 hours

First Stop:

  1. Herbicides for weed control in onion
  2. Herbicides for weed control in potato

Second Stop:

  1. Evaluation of adjuvants used with Roundup (glyphosate) to manage weeds in sugar beet
  2. Timing of irrigation for Sequence herbicide application in sugar beet
  3. Herbicides for wild oats and kochia control in winter wheat

Third Stop

  1. Clearfield and CoAxium Wheat: What varieties are available, and what to consider when using Beyond and Aggressor (presented by: Ryan Graebner)

Place: Malheur Experiment Station, 595 Onion Ave, Ontario, OR, in the field off Onion Avenue under the canopy.

Registration starts at 9:00am with refreshments in the onion field.

A complimentary lunch will be served at noon in the barn.
