OSU Extension Service partners with communities in every county of Oregon to provide information, services and expertise to meet local challenges and help every Oregonian thrive. We're committed to creating positive change through programs and providing spaces where each person feels safe and welcome.
Extension programs, partnerships and volunteer opportunities are focused on:

With an established and trusted presence in every county, we are the only mechanism for statewide community-centric engagement that provides access to research, expertise, and relationships essential for Oregon’s social, economic, and environmental needs.

Ask an Expert is a way for you to get answers from the Oregon State University Extension Service. We have experts in family and health, community development, food and agriculture, coastal issues, forestry, programs for young people, and gardening.
Master Gardener
The OSU Master Gardener™ Program educates Oregonians about the art and science of growing and caring for plants. This program also facilitates the training of a highly educated corp of volunteers who extend sustainable gardening information to their communities
Art About Agriculure
Art About Agriculture encourages artists to investigate the visual resources of the science and practice that sustains human life: agriculture. It strives to develop an understanding and appreciation of food and fiber production, especially among people not traditionally acquainted with agriculture.

Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation
We are dedicated to helping children expand their knowledge of agriculture, the environment, and natural resources for the benefit of Oregonians today and in the future.
Small Farms Program
Oregon Small Farms provides information for the commercial small farmer as well as the small acreage landowner. It is hosted by the Oregon State University Extension Small Farms Program.

Summer Agriculture Institute
A project of the Oregon Agricultural Education Foundation, the Summer Ag Institute (SAI) is a three-credit, week-long, graduate-level course offered through Oregon State University that educates K-12 teachers with little or no background in agriculture.
