F.E. Price/Agricultural Research Foundation Award for Excellence in Research

PURPOSE

To recognize outstanding contributions to agriculture through research and development activities associated with the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station, College of Agricultural Sciences.

NATURE

The recipient will receive $1,000 and a plaque.

ELIGIBILITY

Nominees must still be alive and affiliated with an administrative unit in the College of Agricultural Sciences. 

The Dean, Associate Deans, Chief Operating Officer, and all other Agricultural Sciences administration personnel are not eligible to receive or contribute to the nomination for an award. 

CRITERIA

Nominations will be evaluated on the following basis:

  • Research contributions leading to improvement in agricultural production, processing, marketing, distribution, or product safety.
  • Research related to rural development, improved environmental quality, and the improved management and conservation of natural resources (e.g., soil, water, fisheries, wildlife, and range lands).

NOMINATION MATERIALS

In addition to the base nomination materials required for all awards (one (1) paragraph bio-summary, letter of nomination, and three (3) supporting letters), nomination packets must also include:

  1. The nomination materials should include evidence of a successful research program and address the criteria above.
  2. At least two (2) of the supporting letters should come from individuals not employed by the University.
  3. A professional/abbreviated resume (3 pg. max.).
  4. Position description.

Complete nomination packets should be combined into one PDF document and emailed to [email protected] no later than 5:00 pm on April 9, 2026. Corrections or updates to nomination packets will not be accepted after the nomination deadline.
